Description
Monochrome and architectural, this all-black Capel Salem mug is the most graphic piece in the collection – a design that makes a strong statement while remaining deeply rooted in the story of a place. The chapel illustration wraps around the fine bone china body in stark black, and the handle – hand-painted to match – creates a seamless, purposeful silhouette. It is a bold collector’s piece and a genuinely distinctive addition to any home. Designed by Keith Brymer Jones in collaboration with Duchess China 1888, this mug was conceived as a way to raise funds for the restoration of Capel Salem’s historic windows. Rather than crowdfund, Keith wanted to create something of genuine quality and lasting worth – something that carries the spirit of the chapel into people’s everyday lives. Duchess China 1888, based in Stoke-on-Trent and one of the oldest fine bone china manufacturers in the UK, produce all of their ceramics entirely within Britain. Their backstamp is a mark of that authenticity, and of a manufacturing heritage that spans over 135 years. 290ml capacity. Not dishwasher safe. Backstamped with Duchess China’s mark of British-made authenticity. Clicking to purchase will take you through to the Duchess China website to complete your order.
