Description
Vivid and full of character, this Capel Salem mug pairs a bold red chapel illustration with a white handle – a combination that is warm, striking, and very much in keeping with Keith Brymer Jones’s approach to design. The chapel is rendered in rich red across the white fine bone china body, every architectural detail present and purposeful. It is the kind of mug that draws comment – and then invites a conversation about what Capel Salem is, and what it means. This piece was made possible through Keith’s collaboration with Duchess China 1888, Stoke-on-Trent – one of the last remaining fine bone china factories in the UK. Duchess China have been producing exceptional ceramics for over 135 years, working with clients including The Royal Collection Trust and Fortnum & Mason. Keith wanted to ensure that the Capel Salem range was made with the same level of care and craftsmanship as the chapel itself deserves. Every purchase contributes to the restoration of Capel Salem’s historic windows, helping to secure the building’s future as a shared community and cultural space. 290ml capacity. Dishwasher safe. Backstamped with Duchess China’s mark of British-made authenticity. Clicking to purchase will take you through to the Duchess China website to complete your order.
